ESAC, Inc. is part of the winning team for NIAID/NIH Bioinformatics Integration Support Contract (BISC)
March 1, 2013
ESAC, Inc., is part of a team that won a 5-year contract to provide information technology and bioinformatics support services to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health. The prime contract won by Northrop Grumman includes ESAC, Inc., and the Stanford University School of Medicine as partners. The Bioinformatics Integration Support Contract (BISC) will enable scientists to easily access, store, analyze, and exchange the complex, high-quality data sets generated by clinical and basic research.
We are quite impressed with not only by the technical skills provided by ESAC's software engineers but also by the depth and breadth of their subject matter experts who have provided guidance on standards and interoperability, quality assurance, and project management issues.
ESAC significantly improved the quality of bioinformatics applications of the NCI CBIIT program using industry best practices to ensure systems were validated both functionally and scientifically for use by the community.
