ESAC, Inc. has won a 5 year contract to manage the Data Coordination Center (DCC) for the Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC) program with the office of Cancer Clinical Proteomics Research of the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
ESAC will provide data center, data portal and subject matter expertise to support and manage the phase 2 of CPTAC initiatives including The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) data. The phase 2 initiatives aim for development of protein and peptide biomarkers for qualification studies.
ESAC significantly improved the quality of bioinformatics applications of the NCI CBIIT program using industry best practices to ensure systems were validated both functionally and scientifically for use by the community.
