ESAC, Inc. will provide support to the Data Access Framework (DAF) Initiative
December 15, 2014
The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT has awarded ESAC, Inc. a multiyear contract to continue supporting the Data Access Framework (DAF) Initiative.
As Electronic Health Records (EHRs) become more prominent, there are increasing challenges facing healthcare providers to access their patients’ data. These challenges include a lack of standard interfaces to access EHRs within an organization, and a small group of standards to use when retrieving data from outside organizations. The Data Access Initiative looks to create a modular data access framework based on the identified business requirements of the community by leveraging existing standards.
ESAC continues to be an exceptional collaborator providing on-site contractors with both the expertise for building new tools and data integration platforms, and the subject matter expertise in the biosciences needed to manage projects and provide significant added value beyond the technology development.
